GIVEAWAY! Winter Heat Blog Hop

Welcome to the Winter Heat Blog Hop! In addition to telling you about my books, my prize for the hop is a $10 Amazon or Barnes & Noble gift card -- winner's choice!! To enter, follow the instructions in the RaffleCopter below.

I write very steamy, gritty, dark Mafia romance. The "Blood and Honor" series is about two warring Mafia families, the Lucchesis and the Andrettis. This crime family saga starts with a prequel (Malavita) set twenty-eight years in the past that details the origins of a feud that continues in the present with the books RevengeRetribution, and the latest release, Redemption. The final book, Reckoning, is slated for release in early 2015.

Each book features a hero and heroine who face impossible odds and must fight for their love--and their very lives--within the murky underworld of the Italian Mob.

Be warned--these are dark, sexy, violent books that are definitely not for the faint of heart! If they were movies, they'd be rated R. Think "The Godfather" meets "Romeo & Juliet." (The prequel, Malavita, which is free, is more PG-13 than the rest of the series.)

Here's what readers are saying about the series:

“Plenty of sexy scenes, drama, action, adventure, suspense, blood, love, friendship, just a fantastic read. Highly recommended, wish I could give it more than 5 stars, this is a perfect TEN!”

“I cannot get enough of a good Mafia story. I think those Italian boys are so cute in leather. Ahem. Sorry, off-topic. Malavita is tragic love story with blood and bullets. Really, what more could anyone want? Oh, it’s set in Italy. And it is so good. The characters are brilliant Mafia. The dialogue perfect. The only problem was it ended.”

"This series is awesome!!! If this series was ever made into a movie it would put the Godfather to shame! I am always pulled into the lives that Dana creates in her books. Heart beating so fast it is like I am part of the story line!!! If you are looking for fantastic writing style and being pulled into a story this is it!! I VERY HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK. I WANT TO GIVE IT MORE THAN 5 STARS."

Here's an excerpt from Book 2, Retribution, which is about a British Interpol agent who goes undercover and gets mixed up with a headstrong Mafia princess. He's playing a dangerous game, one that might get them both killed...

Nick turned the music up and caught Delfina’s eye. Was it just his imagination, or had she been admiring his bare arse? “Watching me, were you?” he asked, keeping his voice pitched low.

She blushed, roses staining her cheeks. His chest felt lighter than it had in weeks. “I’m not answering that.”

He strode over to her and leaned in, forcing her to sprawl back on the bed, caged within his arms. He placed his lips near her ear. “Your blush told me everything. Every single naughty thought you were having.”

Madonna,” she muttered and braced her hands against his chest. “You’re getting a swollen head.”

He darted his tongue out and ran it along the edge of her ear. “Most certainly.” He put a knee up on the bed and rubbed his cock along her thigh.

She laughed and pushed against him, but he didn’t budge. “Time to get undressed,” he whispered. Her hands went to the buttons that ran down the front of the silk blouse tucked into her skirt. She played with the top one.

“Now?” she asked, her voice lilting and playful.

“Now.” He rumbled the word in her ear and she shivered. “Take it off. I want to see you. All of you.”

Sounds awesome! Where can I get the books?

Here's an excerpt from the latest book, Redemption

Her heart fluttering in her throat and her hand engulfed in Antonio’s, Bianca followed him as he towed her through the teeming mass of tightly packed bodies and then out Barfly’s back door. They exited onto an alley. The door clanged behind them, shutting out most of the sound in the crowded club, though the low thumping of the bass followed them even outside.

Apparently this was the smoking area. Couples and groups were clumped around a cluster of rickety tables dotted with ashtrays. A large doorman guarded the rear entrance to Barfly.
Antonio pulled her a few meters down the alley toward a dimly lit alcove. It was quieter there, and nicer without the high-intensity glare of the lights behind the club. He tugged her into the alcove and positioned her so her back was against one of the stone walls that enclosed a doorway. He could see the others behind the club if he wished. All she could see was him.

He was standing too close to her, crowding her really, but somehow she didn’t mind. The image of him kissing that girl’s neck rose unbidden in her mind, a sudden bolt of desire and irritation mixed blasting through her. How could she possibly still want him? How could she possibly be jealous?

Antonio pressed a step closer, his large body in his open black leather coat radiating heat. Her hands and face were cold already in the late December air, and her jacket was still in the coat check. He lifted his hands, settling them on her shoulders, cradling her neck between them, their heat making her want to nestle into him. But she held her ground and tried to ignore the shivers that ran through her. It was the cold, damn it. The cold. Not him. Not Antonio.

“You wanted to talk?” he murmured, his eyes drifting down to her lips, then back up to meet her gaze. His mouth curved into a sexy, lazy grin that she recognized from the one time they’d slept together, the grin he’d given her after they’d made love. When he’d known she was his.

How dare he assume he had her again? She wanted to slap that grin away, to grab his hands and push them off her. But she couldn’t give in to that impulse. Not if she wanted to help Sandro. Not if she wanted to know the truth.

Not if she wanted to punish Antonio and give him a taste of what he’d done to her.
She settled her hands over his and snuggled up against his hard, hot body. “I can’t think of anything to say,” she whispered.

His grin widened. “I can.” His hands slid up and cupped her cheeks, then Antonio slanted his mouth over hers, the press of his lips firm, insistent. Confident. So different from when they’d been teenagers. He was a man now, and he kissed like one. Not that she had any experience kissing other men. She just knew.

His tongue slid against her lips and she opened to him, not successful in suppressing the moan this invasion tore from her. Antonio was the first man—the only man—who’d held her in the last six years, quick hugs from her father and brothers aside. Those short, affectionate embraces were nothing like this. They didn’t threaten her control. They didn’t make her quiver, didn’t make her weak. Didn’t make her lose track of why she’d come here. Of why she was kissing him. But at the moment, she didn’t care about any of that. She just wanted to feel. To lose herself.

Bianca molded herself to Antonio, her hands slipping under his jacket and splaying across his well-muscled back. He felt like granite beneath her fingers. One of his hands slid down to her bottom and cupped it, pressing her into him so she could feel the steely length of his cazzo against her belly.

Dio, she wanted him, she burned for him. An ache pulsed between her legs. She was wet, so wet, already. All he had to do was touch her there. All he had to do was ask, and she’d be his—

No. It was one thing to seduce him. It was another to be seduced by him. Especially tonight.

She placed her hands on his chest and pushed him back. Antonio was dangerous; he was the lit match to her powder keg. One touch, and she was ready to blow.
